Waivers apply to anyone 25 years old and over, or that have played 15 games at the pro level.
The player is usually only available for two days once they are placed on waivers.
Players put on waivers can be claimed by any eligible team based on waiver priority. Check the waivers link to see if anyone is on waivers.
Waiver priority will be based on the previous final regular season standings. (The sim’s waiver priority function is terrible). For the inaugural season it will be reverse order of the inaugural draft. This can be found in the Waiver section of the Message Board.
Once you make a waiver claim, you move to the back of the waiver priority list.
If you successfully claim a player on waivers, he MUST remain on your pro roster for the rest of the season. If he is placed on your farm and you are caught, the player immediately becomes a free agent and your team will be fined $1,000,000.
Occasionally after a trade, the sim will automatically place a player on waivers. It is the GM’s responsibility to check to make sure they let the commissioner know if a player was inadvertently placed on waivers due to a trade.
